It has been eight years to the day since Nathan Smith scored an outstanding goal against Stockport County.
The left-back picked the ball up in midfield, drove forward and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top left hand corner.
Although the match was eventually won by the Hatters, Smithy’s goal had levelled the scores after Johnny Mullins’ opener.
Paul Warne briefly put the Glovers in front with his own long range goal, but Tommy Rowe, Mullins and Carl Baker condemned Yeovil to defeat.
Smith has only scored on one other occasion for the Glovers, in the dramatic 4 – 3 win over Barnet from last season.
