Here’s a run-down of the ex-Glovers who made notable impacts for their new sides yesterday. Have we missed anybody out? Let us know on Twitter!
Jakub Sokolik started on the bench for League One Southend United against Gillingham as the Shrimps lost 3 – 1, with fellow former Yeovil centre-back Max Ehmer among the goals for the Gills.
Elsewhere in League One, Byron Webster netted Milwall’s third goal in their 3 – 0 win against Oldham Athletic and Ed Upson’s cheeky backheel led to MK Dons’ winning goal against Shrewsbury Town.
After going 1 – 0 down, Newport County equalised through a Jack Compton free kick against Mansfield Town in League Two. Unfortunately for the Exiles, they eventually lost 3 – 2 after a last gasp winner from Kevan Hurst. Ben Tozer also made a County appearance as a second half substitute.
Striker Ryan Bird didn’t manage to earn a starting place for Eastleigh against Guiseley in the National League, but he did come on as a second half substitute and helped his new club see out a 2 – 1 win.
Shaun Jeffers was used as a substitute for Chelmsford City, coming on after 59 minutes with his new side 2 – 0 down against Truro City. Shortly after, it was 2 – 1 and the Clarets equalised in the 89th minute to secure a point in the National League South.
And finally, Iffy Allen was used as a second half substitute for Aldershot Town in the National League, but couldn’t prevent a narrow 1 – 0 loss to Barrow.
